Alcoholism affects thousands of people worldwide and many people die from alcoholism. I was very close to one of the victims, but by the grace of God and a recovery program 12 step'm here to tell the story.
The are many short and long-term consumption of alcohol, too many to write an article, however, I would like to delve into some of the most serious health problems that occur due to drinking too much alcohol.
Our livers are a substance that breaks down alcohol and burned as fuel. When we drink alcohol to excess liver's ability to do so is limited and often can cause long term damage. Our livers have the ability to repair if the opportunity, however, in the short and long-term alcohol use can cause serious health problems and, in some cases, lead to liver failure resulting in death.
Studies have shown a relationship between memory loss and excessive alcohol consumption. I can tell you that during the last stages of alcoholism I suffer from memory loss and very bad depression. Alcohol has been shown to be a depressant, and the more you drink the worst of the depression becomes.
In addition to these short and long-term alcohol consumption are also at risk of Stokes. Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and thickens the blood can also lead to blood clots, which in turn is a fatal disease. I know from personal experience that my blood pressure was dangerously high and have always been very red in the face.
We talked about some of the serious health problems resulting from the short and long term alcohol consumption. There are many more that are not included in the support of health. When I was drinking, I was not thinking makes my car after large amounts of alcohol, and sometimes more often than I would not drive the car after drinking a bottle of vodka or any whiskey. I know that today I could easily have killed me and alarming another innocent person.
So there we have it, only a portion of the short and long-term alcohol consumption should all be considered. Unfortunately alcoholism is a denial of illness and really think this is the only disease that says "you do not"
